Heinz, a native Bavarian, has spent more than 20 years of his life in Central America. By this he is just right to guide our combined tours of Honduras and its neighbouring countries. Married to a Maya Chorti woman and living near the Copan Maya site, he knows a lot about the cultural background of this famous tribe. Heinz is fluent in German, English and Spanish and his bland and sensible manner has earned him excellent reviews from many clients.
Alberto is from San Pedro Sula and has been working in tourism for more than 20 years. In the early 1990s he started working as guide in the archaeological park of Copan, before he embarked. Working on various cruise ships, he got to know the entire Caribbean, as well as great parts of North America, Europe and the Pacific region. He knows almost all regions of Honduras as well as Guatemala and El Salvador. His aim is to provide our guests an insight into the diverse attractions transmitting his knowledge as lively as possible. Besides his mother tongue Spanish, he is fluent in English.
Eli comes to Mesoamerica Travel as one of the most experienced guides in Honduras. He is Nicaraguan but lives and works in Honduras since 1993. Eli is an all-round naturalist, and Mayanist by heart. He has worked with recognized wholesalers from the US market as well as different universities. He is an active member of the Copan Guide Association. His enthusiasm and environmental concern make him an excellent leader. Additional to Spanish, he speaks fluent English.
Saul started his professional career studying music in San Salvador, where he got a degree in education of children. In 1980 he returned to Honduras and gained further qualifications in journalism and photography.
