Day 1: San Pedro Sula – Lancetilla – Tela Transfer from San Pedro Sula to Tela. En route we visit the Lancetilla Botanical Garden. The United Fruit Company founded the gardens over 70 years ago as an experimental botanical site. Here you will find hardwood, medicinal and ornamental plants as well as tropical fruit trees from all over the world. You will see how the bamboo forest absorbs some 90% of the daylight, admire the long rows of majestic Royal Palms or try exotic fruits fresh from the tree. An Orchid Garden and a Natural Reserve with a beautiful 1,200 hectares of virgin tropical rainforest make up this wonderful natural area. We then proceed to our hotel. Freetime in the afternoon and overnight in Tela.
