7 Days / 6 Nights Approach: Nature, Historical & Colonial Honduras, 2 passengers minimum
Day 1: San Pedro Sula – La Esperanza To start our tour we will shortly visit the down town area to observe the intense commercial activity of the fastest growing city in Central America. After our visit the local handicraft market "Guamilito" with its colourful stores we continue via Lake Yojoa to La Esperanza, in the heart of the Honduran mainland, high in the mountains. On the way we visit the impressive Pulhapanzak Waterfall. Arrival to La Esperanza in the late afternoon and overnight. Day 2: La Esperanza Today we visit the neighboring towns of La Esperanza, for a look at the different lifestyles of the local inhabitants – the Lenca. Located at aprox. 1600 m above sea level La Esperanza has a fresh climate, perfect for agriculture. Overnight in La Esperanza. Day 3: La Esperanza – Gracias – Santa Rosa Morning transfer to Gracias. We discover the Gracias colonial history with its churches and the fortress San Cristobal. In the afternoon we transfer to Santa Rosa de Copán. Overnight Santa Rosa de Copán.

Day 4: Santa Rosa de Copan – Copán We tour the village of Santa Rosa in the morning and visit the famous "Flor de Copán" tobacco factory. We continue our way to Copán. En route learn about Mayan trade routes, social and political organization, and theories on their mysterious demise. We will enjoy beautiful countryside as we travel to the picturesque village of Copán. Overnight in Copán. Day 5: Copán After breakfast, it is our suggestion for you to visit the legendary Archaeological Park of Copán, a short 20-minute walk from the Copan town. For your visit you can hire a local guide or enjoy on your own. The site consists of two main sites: the ruins and the sepulchres. Learn about the impressive 63-step stairway with over 2,500 hieroglyphs and masterfully carved Stella. Overnight in Copán. Day 6: Copán – San Pedro Sula This morning is left free for you to explore Copán, its cobblestone streets. In the afternoon you will take the direct bus to San Pedro Sula, where a hotel will be reserved for you. Overnight in San Pedro Sula. Day 7: San Pedro Sula Transfer to the San Pedro Sula airport in time for your international departure flight, or extend your stay with another of our itineraries. End of program.
